Delete your account

You can delete your You Ready? account from inside the app, in about four taps. Here is how, and exactly what goes.

Which app this is

This page is for You Ready?, published on Google Play and the App Store by Osaka Skyline Studios.

How to delete it

  1. Open You Ready? on your phone.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm. It happens straight away, and it cannot be undone.

If you have already removed the app, or you cannot get in to your account, write to osakaskylinestudios@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and we will do it for you. A person answers, and we will have it done within 30 days.

What is deleted

All of it goes at once. There is no waiting period and no recovery window.

What is kept, and why

One thing stays, and we would rather tell you than have you find it out. The record that a particular phone has used its three free checks survives: a scrambled phone code, a date, and how long the check took. Your account is gone from it — it belongs to a handset and to nobody.

We keep it for one reason. Without it, "delete account" would be a one-tap way to start the free checks over, and over, forever. It is kept for as long as the app exists. If you would rather it went too, write to us and we will remove it.

Your photos were never kept anyway

There is nothing to delete on our side, because we never stored it. A photo is held for the length of one request and then it is gone — never written to a disk, never put in a backup, never looked at afterwards. The same is true of what you typed about where you were going and the advice you got back.

Your subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel that in Google Play or the App Store, or you will keep being charged for something you can no longer use.
